Hope sees the invisible,
feels the intangible and achieves the impossible.

On Sept 18, 2004 thirteen women in Ventura California had an idea about a necklace. “
On May 18, 2010 one woman in Plaistow NH was inspired by the concept of “the necklace”.

In Ventura California the The Necklace, (Cheryl Jarvis) was an experiment that transformed their lives. It is a story of 13 women, who pooled their resources and bought a $37,000 diamond Riviera necklace containing 118 round brilliant diamonds with a total weight of 15.24 cts.

The story is about how these women always wanted something like this and this was a wonderful opportunity to own a dream.

I was so inspired by the book that I began to wonder how I could apply this concept to my life. And thus, the inspiration for the Hope necklace.

The Hope necklace is about love, faith, strength, power, trust, sharing and inspiration. It will become, for all those who give it, or wear it, an investment in life.

My idea behind the Hope necklace is that it be shared among those of us who feel we need the strength and healing that this necklace will bring. The strength and healing power, of which I speak, will become the karma given to us by the Hope necklace. The more the necklace is worn and passed on, the stronger the karma becomes; all for the well being of the giver, and for the receiver.

The Hope necklace will be passed from one person in need to another.

If you have been diagnosed with cancer, if you have survived cancer or if you are a caregiver to a cancer patient, you can receive the Hope necklace. When you feel you have absorbed all the hope, healing and strength you need ~ you will then know it is time to pass the Hope necklace on to someone else who is also in need.

This necklace will raise awareness and bring light and smiles to those going through difficult times. “It will be like hundreds of people holding your hand being there to catch you, to pray for you and to support you”.

For the men in our lives, there will be a beautiful “dog tag” style necklace that will be created to be passed on. Unfortunately cancer knows no boundaries.

The necklace will be designed by my good friend and jeweler Carl, at Derosa Jewelers of Plaistow NH. In order to make the Hope necklace collaborative and a more meaningful piece, we are accepting any pieces of gold or silver, or semi-precious or precious stones. For example: a broken earring, a loose stone, anything you may have. These items will be melted down and a beautiful necklace will be created. Each donation will be documented in the journal that will travel with the necklace.

Your contribution will bring Hope to Life and you will be forever enmeshed in this gift of love.
